PALM/LIBERTY

Information about the Palm/Liberty:

Palm/Liberty is a new trojan found under the Handheld devices environment. This trojan arrives as a crack for PalmOS application called Liberty. This crack claims that, it converts shareware version of this application to registered version.

The trojan would launch its infection routine only when it is manually installed. After installation the trojan is displayed on the screen as Crack 1.1. When payload is run, Palm/Liberty deletes all the applications and reboot.

Plam/Liberty trojan first appeared in August 2000.

PALM.PHAGE

Information about the Palm.phage:

Palm.Phage is a new virus found under the Handheld devices environment. The virus when exectued destroys all the application programs. It writes a .PRC file and copy it to the palm and keep infecting files until all the files are destroyed. Finally this virus shows a gray screen and terminates.

Palm.Phage virus first appeared in September 2000.
